We not hearing much about Covid but it is still around. We are learning more about the after effects of having had COVID, and about Long COVID.
This issue remembers the Laver sisters from Kalgoorlie, whose family gave Laverton it’s name. Other legendary polio patients from Kalgoorlie highlighted include Miss Annie Lowry and Lee Hembrow.
The wonderful work of the Polio Clinic is outlined on page 5, with a photo of a spritely and enthusiastic Tessa. She provides some personalised medical advice about vitamin and mineral needs based on your own common (olfactory) sense on page 6, and follows up with ideas about using your breathing to help your blood pressure, anxiety, memory and asthma. You will do well to listen to your cravings for some guidance also.
It is worth reading page 9 to consider the benefits and risks of several medications for common conditions which might affect your bone density.
Tessa will be in the office from Tuesday to Thursday each week. But phone or email if you need help.
